A charming late Victorian stained pine washstand featuring a decorative tiled splashback and turned legs. Pieces like this were traditionally used in bedrooms before indoor plumbing, holding a jug and basin for washing. Today they make fantastic character pieces for hallways, kitchens, or bathrooms.

The top shows historic wear, marks and areas of finish loss consistent with its original function as a washstand. The drawer runs well and retains its original wooden knobs. The structure is solid.
There is historic wear and small losses to the lower shelf edge and general age-related marks throughout, which all add to the character of the piece. The decorative tiles are intact and display beautifully.
