Very heavy Chinese camphor wood storage chest with a rich polished finish, decorative engraved brass lock and carved side handholds. A solid, well-made piece with strong colour, attractive grain and classic oriental styling.
The chest is a highly versatile size and could be used as a bedroom blanket box, hallway storage chest, linen trunk or statement coffee table. The decorative brass lock is a lovely feature, engraved with bird and floral detail, and adds real character to the front of the chest.
