Product Description
Our biltong is made using only the finest silverside of beef. The silverside is then marinated using an original South African recipe and includes spices such as pepper, garlic and cumin alongside some soya to help preserve the meat. It is then cut into strips and hung in our special biltong drying room before being hand-picked, sliced and packed ready to be enjoyed as a tasty high protein snack. As biltong has been air dried it also has a long shelf life and doesn't need refrigerating making it perfect for the gym bag or the desk drawer. Biltong is also light which means it's easy to carry on the daily commute or exploring the great outdoors. Not only is our biltong tasty and healthy as a snack but it is also a great source of natural protein. Our beef is air-dried which removes all excess water and makes it possible to have such a high protein to weight ratio of around 55% protein. One of the reasons why our biltong has such high levels of protein is that it takes 200g of raw beef to make 100g of biltong, so all the protein from the 200g of raw product goes into every 100g of our biltong. This means that for every 100g of our beef biltong you're getting 55.2g of protein.
