The Fidel Black Rustic Mango Wood Finial Sculpture by Orsina introduces a classical silhouette and aged character to consoles and shelves. Orsina shapes solid mango wood into a tapering form interrupted by a cadence of ever-diminishing spheres, then sets it on a chunky rectangular plinth. A distressed surface lends this black finial weathered depth, making it a strong counterpoint to smooth ceramics or glass. Handcrafted finishing means every finial arrives with its own personality.
Key Features and Benefits
- Black rustic mango wood finial with layered spherical details and tapering top.
- A substantial rectangular plinth balances the vertical profile.
- A distressed surface adds tactile character for entryways and living rooms.
- Handcrafted variance creates a unique accent for each piece.
- Works singly or as a pair to frame artwork or mirrors.
Materials and Finish
Carved from natural mango wood, the finial is hand-finished in a timeworn black with visible texture. The material's density provides stability, while the finish underscores the carved geometry.
Placement
Place the finial on a fireplace mantel, at one end of a sideboard, or on a hallway console to anchor layered displays. It also suits bookshelf end positions to draw the eye upward.
Styling and Use Ideas
Pair with linen-bound books, a low bowl, or a small framed print to create depth. Use two finials to introduce symmetry on a long console. For eclectic styling, set the rustic finial near metallic pieces to contrast patina with polish.
Why Orsina
