The skimmer is part of the pool filter system and prevents objects such as leaves or insects from reaching the bottom of the pool. Larger particles are collected by the pre-filter in the skimmer basket, while finer particles are retained in the filter (cartridge or sand).

The Gre-Skimmer retains the largest impurities and directs the water into the pool filter for cleaning, extending the life of the filter. It also has a small basket for larger impurities in the water to prevent them from entering the circuit, which improves the performance of the filter.
