Appropriately named the Nectar of the Gods, raw honey is said to be rich in enzymes and health giving properties.
Dark and lusciously thick, this aromatic, molasses-like honeydew is made from sticky tree and leaf resins at the height of summer.
This unusual honey is rich in mineral salts.
It’s extracted using the cold pressed method. This retains a lot of its natural flavour and colour, and doesn’t damage the honey’s natural properties.
CARING FOR NATURE
A percentage of all Seggiano honey sales are donated to the Buglife charity to support the wellbeing of bees and other insects.
Our honey selection comes Mauro Pagliaccia who moves his five hundred hives over the territory surrounding his home on the shore of Lake Bolsena, in what was the heart of Ancient Etruria, now northern Lazio.
